Healing Your Ancestors with Quan Yin
Quan Yin is ready and willing to help us heal ourselves and our ancestors.
If you have a specific thought or behaviour pattern, you can work with this, or you can simply send Quan Yin’s energy to the whole of your ancestral line, so it can do whatever is needed at the time you work with her.
- Relax and focus on breath and make sure you are grounded.
- Invite Quan Yin to join you and sit in her energy, attuning to it.
- After a few moments explain to Quan Yin which ancestral pattern you need help with.
- Now connect to your ancestral line and have a sense of all the ancestors who are carrying the burden of this pattern.
- Now turn your attention back to Quan Yin and hold out your hands, palms up, allowing her to place a symbol in each hand. You may now use this healing symbol, filled with the energy of love, compassion and mercy from Quan Yin, to heal your ancestral line.

Triangle Breathing
This exercise clears and calms the mind, reduces stress, anxiety and tension held in the physical body. It also promotes mindfulness, imagination, creativity and visualization.
- Relax and focus on your breath, making your out breath longer than your in breath.
- Now place one hand on your belly and the other hand on your chest. As you breathe in, feel your belly rise. As you breathe out, feel your belly move inward, towards the spine. The hand on your belly should move more than the one that’s on your chest. Take three more full, deep breaths.
- Visualise a triangle or look at a picture of one so you can run your eyes or imagine running your eyes along all three edges.
- Start at the bottom left-hand corner of the triangle and breathe in for a count of three while you visualise moving up the left hand-side to the apex.
- Hold your breath for a count of three while you visualise moving down the right-hand side.
- Breath out for a count of three while you visualise moving along the bottom.
- Repeat to a count of three while you visualise moving along the bottom.
NOTE: you can use longer breath counts when you get used to the exercise if you want to.
Alternative Triangle Breathing Meditation

Heart Sound to Clear the Chakras
This is another good exercise which clears the chakras, so why not give it a try? The worst thing that can happen is that you feel better, energetically speaking, of course! But, happily, it will also have a knock-on effect on everything else in the Four Body System!
So, here it is:
- Find a comfortable position to sit in, making sure your spine is straight.
- Set your intention to use your sound to clear your chakras.
- Now after focusing on your breath for a few minutes, open your awareness and check your chakras, noting which ones might need a little additional work later.
- Now tone AH without straining and at a pitch which is comfortable for you and intend to fill both vortices of the heart chakra with the energy of this powerful vowel. Also intend that when the chakra is full, the energy flows into the central channel, so it can go from there into the other chakras, clearing, balancing, and activating them. And as you continue to tone, you will find that the sound energy will move up and down from the heart, arriving at the crown and the base simultaneously.
- Now check your chakras again to see if any need any additional help. If any do, tone AH again, sending it directly to that chakra until you get the sense any blockages you found have cleared.
- And when the chakras feel good, check in with your body and see if any parts need help as well. If you find something, tone AH, allowing the sound to gently shift any pain or tension or any blockages that you have found. And keep toning until you feel everything has shifted.
- Now tone AH silently and feel it resonating inside your head, your heart and your body and keep toning until you are guided to stop.

Heart Chakra Sound Exercise
This is a simple but
incredibly effective sound exercise to clear and activate the heart chakra
and when you move your arm while you are making the first sound (MEEEEEE) your
fingertip will automatically land where your heart chakra is located at the
time you do the exercise. This will help when you check it because it will
clearly show you if it is out of alignment with the rest of the system and you
can add an intention to re-align it with your second sound (AH).
So, here is the exercise:
- Set your intention for the exercise, stating you wish to check your heart chakra and clear any blockages with your sound. You may also want to add the intention o re-align if you find it is necessary later in the exercise.
- Hold your right arm straight out in front of you, pointing with your index finger and while toning MEEEEEEEEE bend your elbow, bringing your fingertip to rest in the chest area.
- See where your finger lands and check if the chakra is out of alignment. Then move your awareness to the heart chakra and check the energy. Is it good or bad, high or low, flowing or stagnant. You might also want to check on the colour to see if it a vibrant green or not.
- Then when you have the information you need to correct anything you find or shift it if it needs to be released, lower you arm and tone AH until you are guided to stop.
- Now repeat the first part of the exercise using the tone MEEEEEEE and check your heart chakra again. There should have been some kind of change, but you need to check if the change was big enough to clear the chakra. So look at it again, noting the energy inside it.
- If it is clear, tone AH to finish with the intention of blessing your heart with your sound.
- If it is not, tone AH to clear it again.
- Then tone AH a second time to finish the exercise, again blessing your heart with your sound.
