There are so many wonderful crystals to choose from when I start to think about writing about them, it often makes it difficult to choose which one to write about. They are all valuable and will help change you and your life, but one thing about this month’s crystal stood out for me… the phrase – rhyolite is like an anti-depressant with any side-effects. It seemed like the perfect stone for a lot of people during these strange, unsettling times. It is associated with love, joy and hope, so using it will help a great deal if you are struggling with change, transition, fear and anxiety, separation…
I could go on and on because there is a long, long list of things people are experiencing, but the vibration of rhyolite contains within it the energy that can help you cope, or indeed overcome whatever is troubling you on a deep and often profound level. You just have to be willing to do the work and allow change to happen.
Obviously, I have no idea if this will be easy for you. I have no idea what is currently happening in your life, so all I can say is – get a piece of this amazing multi-coloured crystal, hold it in your non-dominant hand and set the intention that with each in breath you pull its energy in through your palm chakra, up your arm and just let it flow into your body… it will do what ever it needs to do to help you.
One of the other things rhyolite does is to help you realise your highest potential. It will help you see what you can really do to help yourself and to see past the chaos to something better. It will encourage you to chase your dreams with renewed energy and you can use its uplifting energy to rise up and out of all the low vibrational rubbish that is floating round the earthplane. You can’t change it. Sometimes, you can’t even seem to get rid of it, but you can, without a shadow of a doubt, rise above it if you keep your own vibrational rate high and strong. Rhyolite will help you do this as long as it is within our energy field. Holding it is great. You absorb the energy very quickly but carrying it in your pocket will also work.
If you want to use the stone with an intention, hold it on your heart chakra and ask for the vibrations from the crystal to clear away any emotional blockages you have there and just let it work. It knows what to do! All you have to do is allow the energy to cleanse the negativity from your heartspace. And, it doesn’t stop there. This precious crystal then helps you focus on what is important to you… what really makes your heart sing. So sit with it once the clearing has finished and ask to see what is good and true and meaningful in your life… and if it is missing… ask for help to find it… or re-discover it if you had it and lost it during all this madness.
Rhyolite is also a useful crystal to work with at the brow chakra as it can help you re-set your mind, so you can see the negativity in your life and, once you have identified it, it will be easier to deal with it… and continuing to work with rhyolite will help you do this. It’s vibration will be a real blessing to you in so many ways… I couldn’t possibly list them. To be honest, there would be no point because they will be different for everyone who uses the stone. This change in your life is a co-creation and the outcome will always depend what your energy is like when you use the stone. But, what ever happens, it will always help. So just sit with rhyolite for twenty minutes and notice what thoughts come up and, if they are negative, just ask the stone to help you dissolve this energy, and fill the space left behind with its own uplifting vibrations. It will always facilitate a positive transformation… as long as you let it, of course. You can always resist opening to new possibilities and, if you do, maybe you should sit with the crystal a little longer and ask to see why you would want to do this.
If you feel your solar plexus needs clearing, you can place rhyolite on this chakra and it will bring an emotional release, so use it wisely at this position. And, if you know you have self-esteem issues, you can work with focussed intent. It will help you learn to value yourself and all your gifts and talents. It will also help you align with your will and your personal power. These two things live in this chakra.
So, if rhyolite has found its way into your life before you read this… well, it means you are ready to start the transformation process and you just haven’t realised it! Just go for it!

But it will always help you clear the negativity and encourage you to move forward, and it will keep you safely anchored in the present moment rather than allowing you to hang on to people and experiences that are no longer helping you live the life you want to live, people and experiences that belong firmly in the past. And, remember that if you keep looking back… all you get is a crick in your neck!
