When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.
Lao Tzu
As we approach Samhain and the end of the Wheel of the Year, think about this quote.
1st November is, in fact, the new year, and this means it is the perfect opportunity for you to become all you can possibly be, to leave all your old, limiting ways of thinking and behaving behind and start coming into a real alignment with your Authentic Self in a deep and meaningful way.
1st November is the start of another wheel and it is also the start of the annual cycle of deep inner growth. It is the time to be still and contemplate all the things you want to germinate over the dark times of the winter, so it can start to grow and blossom when the next outward cycle of growth begins in the spring.
What seeds do you need to plant now to create something new and wonderful when the light returns at Winter Solstice and gets brighter and brighter as we move towards springtime?
What things do you need to let go of to ensure you can achieve all you want to achieve in this next outward cycle of growth?
After all, it’s no good getting to spring and wondering why nothing has changed, why there are no new green shoots in your life, no possibilities of new and exciting things. If you don’t do anything to create that change and encourage those green shoots over the winter and plant those seeds so they can germinate, it will be your fault! No one can do it except you. It’s your life and your responsibility – no one else’s!
Seriously, nothing changes if nothing changes and you have to show up and actually do some work during the inward cycle of growth over the winter, so you are ready to go in the spring!
Change doesn’t just happen. It would be really nice if it did, but it doesn’t, so do spend some time thinking what you want to become and take at least one step towards it. It doesn’t have to be a big one. A small one will do. Seeds, after all, are rarely enormous, but huge things can grow from them if they are nurtured correctly. Think of the size of an acorn and then compare it to the size of an oak tree!
Small does not mean insignificant! It just has to be the right small thing to trigger the growth you want.
So – what do you want?
Think about it and start turning that might be in the quote above into a certainty!
Bright Blessings!
